So simple but really good and full of lovely hazelnut flavor.<br /><br />As for the meringue, I've never tried this myself but I would recommend adding another 1/4 C sugar, raising the oven temperature to 200 and baking 1 hour and 15 minutes and then removing them from the oven. The idea is you probably want more moisture in the meringue, so adding some sugar, baking it for a shorter time at a higher temperature should do the trick. And since the temperature is a bit higher, they will take on some color.
