Thanks very much for your positive feedback. These cookie slices are really easy and delicious. Glad the larger pan worked out for you. I love this combo of flavors but you can of course always tailor other dried fruits and nuts and spice to create your own nirvana!pastry studiohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18236016716310805888noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4897079154160126133.post-17937279299449554092010-12-11T04:05:28.941-08:002010-12-11T04:05:28.941-08:00I made these yesterday, and they are FANTASTIC. I baked them in a square pan, rather than a springform pan.
The dough came together easily, was a bit tricky to spread (It's thick! I just worked slowly and patiently at spreading it out) and baked up beautifully!
Definitely something I'll make again.saturday mikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02125608594490945608noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4897079154160126133.post-6777077541224511042010-11-06T06:14:55.898-07:002010-11-06T06:14:55.898-07:00i love coconut..and those look great!i love coconut..and those look great!astheroshehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11301322097887964600noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4897079154160126133.post-42451519540399715232010-10-19T12:00:20.872-07:002010-10-19T12:00:20.872-07:00I luv chocolate chip cookies in bar form. Creaming the sugar and the butter is essential to create air bubbles that, when combined with a leavening agent like baking powder or baking soda that inflate those bubbles as the batter bakes, cause the pastry to rise.

I cut back on the sugar as much as possible without sacrificing texture, but the chocolate chips do add more sweetness.pastry studiohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18236016716310805888noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4897079154160126133.post-69852943245444800112010-10-12T06:28:33.742-07:002010-10-12T06:28:33.742-07:00Hi!
