So I started using my food processor and I found if you're careful not to over mix, you can still get an excellent dough.

A vanilla bean is always a welcome addition!pastry studiohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18236016716310805888noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4897079154160126133.post-41074319402588734462013-08-23T13:28:57.113-07:002013-08-23T13:28:57.113-07:00Hiya!

Okay, I guess.
I used the last of this season's Green Gages. Must say, damned tasty.
The crumb top rules.

Using the metal blade on the second attempt was waaay quicker.
Quartered the dough into mini 4" shells and used perfectly red-blushed nectarines which were nice and tart and delicious.
Vanilla bean was all it needed to round out the flavor a bit.

Did I mention the crumb top rules?Bryanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06580216519602520327noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4897079154160126133.post-21187373890149509272013-08-17T17:47:50.113-07:002013-08-17T17:47:50.113-07:00Thanks, Elly. I love it - usually never cook with nectarines as they're so good raw, but these photos have inspired me!Elly McCauslandhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10019444976070689230noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4897079154160126133.post-79297925392748647542013-08-17T10:08:24.840-07:002013-08-17T10:08:24.840-07:00Thanks, Kate! Sorry to see cherries on the wane.

But sometimes I forget the whole world doesn't have all this great fruit during this season. So to all my lovely other regional readers, I'll get back to chocolate and other things soon, promise.pastry studiohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18236016716310805888noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4897079154160126133.post-508886523914959202013-08-17T10:03:06.378-07:002013-08-17T10:03:06.378-07:00Looks and sounds delicious, :ps!
